The course is designed to provide education and training for those hoping to enter, or entering, the education section to provide teaching, principally in the areas of training or instruction in the lifelong learning sector. Part B – Sales Team Management and Leadership
This part is designed for the people who would like to operate their own tutorial centers or develop their career in educational industry. Its aim is to equip the educators and administrators with effective selling and management skills.
The content includes how to schedule and analyze a weekly sales plan in order to develop a successful sales system, identify the roles of a manager and a leader, teambuilding techniques, human resources management,? how to increase the sales volume, etc.
Part C – Supervised Teaching Practice (STP)
The objectives for the STP are:

The STP includes teaching, observations, feedback sessions, writing a teaching journal, lesson planning and compiling a portfolio. This unit is assessed by observation of classroom teaching and by a portfolio of written work.
Flexible Delivery - Text-based distance learning, Online Distance Learning, and Face-to-face occasional class .Nine courses totaling 360 Guided Learning Hours (280 GLH’s Online & 80 GLH’s Face-to-Face)

The Edexcel Level 5 BTEC Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector is accredited for learners aged 19 years and over. Learners in the Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector must have access to teaching/training opportunities to fulfill practicum requirements.
On registration with the HKCAC / Edexcel for Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector, learners will be sent the Edexcel unit-specific textbook and a CD ROM containing interactive guidance, and assessment-related materials essential to the successful completion of this qualification.
