胡杏兒 Myolie Wu

胡杏兒在香港出生，小時候在牛頭角居住。她在家中排行第三，有兩個姐姐。中學時期，胡杏兒被送往北愛爾蘭首都 - 貝爾法斯特留學。因為到國外留學，胡杏兒練得一口流利英語，而她其後亦因到內地拍劇而練得一口流利的普通話。

胡杏兒回港參加會考，因成績優良而獲香港科技大學取錄，攻讀生物化學系。她在大學一年級的時候決定陪朋友參選香港小姐，最終以十九歲之齡獲得季軍及活力風采獎。她當選後決定休學，簽約無?電視。

胡杏兒連續兩年擔任樂施會樂施大使，她曾出席樂施會樂施米義賣大行動的開幕典禮，也在街頭協助義賣樂施米。去年，曾親自跟隨樂施會人員遠赴甘肅平涼貧窮農村探訪，實地了解他們的生活苦狀及樂施會生態扶貧項目如何幫助他們的改善生活，保育環境。於今年保良局委任杏兒為健障大使，目標是為弱能人士提供優質的住宿、技能訓練及多元化的輔助醫療及社區康復支援服務，使他們得到適當的照顧，並能盡展所長，回饋社會，享受豐盛人生。她近年亦被多個機構任命為大使，如救心行動大使、兒童金口大使、滅罪大使、智能身份證代言人等，落力於社會服務。

Myolie Wu started her new chapter in the entertainment industry after winning the second-runner-up title of Miss Hong Kong at 19 when she was studying biochemistry in HKUST. Her cheerful character, healthy image and devotion to the showbiz earned her jobs together with social responsibilities from charitable organizations.

Working as spokespersons for many government departments and social groups, Wu has never lessened her efforts in charitable work. As an ambassador for Oxfam for two consecutive years, Wu not only help raise fund from charitable sale in Hong Kong but also paid a visit to Pingliang in Gansu Province in the Mainland to evaluate how the tailor- made Oxfam project would help improve their lives and better their environment. This year, Wu is appointed Ambassador of Po Leung Kuk Rehabilitation Services Sponsorship Programme and her task is to advocate supports from the public for the provision of quality accommodation, skilful training and auxiliary medical and social rehabilitation support services to the mentally disabled.
