楊千嬅 Miriam Yeung

楊千嬅中學畢業於嘉諾撒聖家書院，畢業後入讀護士學校。1995年，一次參加新秀歌唱大賽獲得第三名後晉身樂壇。楊千嬅以性格率真見稱，大哭大笑，從不對自己的性情加以掩飾，因而有「大笑姑婆」和「樂壇陳四萬」之稱。她人緣極佳，說話帶幽默而又不失深度。楊千嬅除了專心歌唱事業外，也有多方面的發展。她在電視方面的成績亦不俗，曾任演員和主持工作的她，近年屢被傳媒點名讚賞。

由於在外界她的形象甚為討好，很多慈善機構都邀請千嬅為其慈善大使，如心肺復甦大使、香港宣明會飢饉之星、聯合國愛滋病規劃署首名香港大使、國際奧比斯眼科飛機醫院愛心大使、愛牙大使、懲教署教育基金助學大使、香港旅遊發展局香港購物節推廣活動宣傳大使、香港旅遊大使、光明大使、聯合國兒童基金香港委員會大使、第八屆「秘密天使」計劃天使、香港乳癌基金會大使、暖流行動護眼之星等。

千嬅於2005年更榮獲香港十大傑出青年的榮譽，又曾為慈善機構發行慈善物品，如微笑行動的慈善郵票；香港乳癌基金會的慈善郵票，以及慈善T-shirt。

Miriam Yeung is one of the favourites of many charitable organizations thanks to her cheerful character and dedication to her multi-faceted career in the entertainment industry, including singing, acting and hosting shows.

Besides working for international charity names like World Vision, ORBIS and UNICEF, together with various departments or affiliates of the Hong Kong SAR Government like Department of Correctional Services and Hong Kong Tourism Board, she was also the ambassador of Senior Citizen Home Safety Association and the very first Hong Kong spokesperson of UNAIDS.

Yeung won in the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Selection in 2005 and worked for the issue of charitable T-shirts as well as charitable stamps for Operation Smile and for Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation.
